Traffic Alert: Crash, power outage shuts down portions of Keaaumoku Street

KEAAUMOKU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A crash and power outage shut down portions of Keaaumoku Street Monday morning, the Honolulu Police Department said.
At 7 a.m., HPD said all southbound lanes on Keaaumoku Street fronting McDonalds were blocked off due to a crash.
Shortly after, a power outage in the South Beretania and Keaaumoku Street area affected traffic control devices, prompting the closure of Keaamoku Street at Beretania Street and King Street.
At last check, two southbound lanes on Keeaumoku Street has been reopened.
The far left southbound lane remains blocked for HECO vehicles.
Officials are asking motorists to treat all intersections as four-way stops and to try to avoid the area.
Drivers are advised to expect delays and take alternate routes.
It’s unclear if the crash and power outage are connected. Details are limited at this time.
